DOWN has confirmed the release of its long-awaited new studio album, 'Volume V', set for November 20 via Nuclear Blast Records. The album features the debut live performance of the single 'Blood Oath' during the band's August 19 show at The House Of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio. The track is now available in full from the concert footage uploaded to Dennis Justus' YouTube channel.

'Volume V' was recorded in two sessions at Philip H. Anselmo's home studio, Nodferatu's Lair, where the band jammed face-to-face to develop original material. The album opens with 'The Myth', a powerful track featuring aggressive vocals and down-picking, followed by 'Merciful Fate' which includes a vocal duel between Anselmo and King Diamond at 120bpm. The record closes with 'Twice-Told Tales', a heavy and hypnotic track blending blues rock with classic metal elements.

The album was produced by Eddie Mapp and DOWN, mixed by Dave Fortman, and mastered by Maor Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum Mastering in California. DOWN is currently on a North American headlining tour, which began on August 15 in Atlanta, Georgia and concludes on September 4 in Shakopee, Minnesota, with a special slot as direct support to SLAYER. The tour also includes appearances at Zakk Wylde's Berzerkus Festival on August 28 and 29.

In October, DOWN will perform at Aftershock and Sick New World Texas. The band will headline day two of the Decibel Metal & Beer Fest Denver on December 5, marking its first Denver appearance in over twelve years.
