Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy has shared his enthusiasm for Rush's recent stage return.
The band made their triumphant comeback to the stage at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, CA on June 7th as part of their Fifty Something Tour.
Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson were joined by German drummer Anika Nilles and keyboard player Loren Gold.
Portnoy watched the RushCon live stream in real time for the entire show and shared his thoughts on social media, calling it "magical" with a perfect setlist.
He praised Anika's performance, saying she "killed it" and was happy to see her nail all of the big Neil moments.
Portnoy also appreciated the tributes to Rush's late drummer Neil Peart throughout the show.
The album "Prior Convictions" by Alcatrazz has been released on BraveWords Records.
The album bridges Alcatrazz's past and future, with two new tracks added to their discography.
