Edguy Announce First Live Show in Decade With German Hometown Concert

German melodic metallers EDGUY have announced their first live performance in a decade.

The band will play a hometown concert in Fulda on June 25, 2027.

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, June 17 at 10:00 a.m.

In a social media post announcing the gig, EDGUY wrote: "Some stories deserve a final chapter.

Let's write ours together." This is a significant move for the band, who have been focused on their long-running AVANTASIA project for the past decade.

Frontman Tobias Sammet spoke with Metal Hammer magazine in March 2025 about the future of EDGUY, stating: "Good question.

The book is not shut yet." EDGUY was one of the pioneering bands of power metal and has maintained a loyal fan base over the years.

Their last album of new original material, "Space Police - Defenders Of The Crown", came out in April 2014 via Nuclear Blast.

The band's discography includes ten studio albums and Top 10 chart entries worldwide.
