Richard Patrick of FILTER and Jim Louvau of THERE IS NO US have announced their collaborative project A PLACE TO KILL.

The duo released its debut seven-song EP, 'APTK', in June 2023.

The EP's first track, 'The Killing Field', was released earlier as the B-side of FILTER's 'For The Beaten' limited-edition vinyl single.

The project's debut EP is set to be paired with a second EP in a special release, with the second EP to be released in singles over the coming months.

Each single will include a music video, reflecting the duo's focus on multimedia content.

A PLACE TO KILL has confirmed it will release a second EP that will be packaged with the first on vinyl and CD formats, with one side of the vinyl containing the debut EP and the other side the second.

The project's live performance vision includes only the two artists, accompanied by smoke, fog machines, and minimal lighting.

Patrick described the creative process as spontaneous and unstructured, emphasizing that the music is fun and easy to make.

He expressed interest in a potential live show, with A PLACE TO KILL possibly opening for FILTER in the coming years.

The duo first connected in 2008, when Louvau interviewed Patrick before a FILTER show, and later developed a long-standing interest in collaborating.

The project marks a new creative direction for both artists, building on their shared history and mutual admiration."
