Nightwish singer Floor Jansen has unveiled her upcoming solo album Hytress, set for release on January 15, 2027 via REVAMP Music/Warner Music. The album features the single "Bring Me Silence," which marks the beginning of a heavier, more direct chapter in her solo career. Hytress includes 12 new tracks, built on down-tuned guitars, layered vocals, and Jansen's signature vocal power, emphasizing emotional depth and musical intensity without relying on nostalgia.
Jansen has confirmed a comprehensive global tour in 2027, bringing her full live band to club stages across Europe and South America. The tour will showcase the full range of her musical identity, transitioning between the energy of festival performances and the intimacy of her recent sold-out theatre shows.
The new album follows her debut solo record Paragon and represents a fusion of her metal roots and personal vulnerability. It does not revisit past works but instead advances her artistic direction with a sharper, more authoritative sound. The release of Hytress signals a significant evolution in Floor Jansen's solo output.
Jansen joined Nightwish in 2013 after performing with the band at a live show in Seattle in 2012. She previously performed with the symphonic metal band After Forever and released music with the group REVAMP before joining Nightwish. In 2024, Nightwish announced a hiatus from live performances, citing a decision not to tour in support of their latest album Yesterwynde.
