FLOTSAM AND JETSAM has confirmed plans to embark on a U.S.
tour in support of their upcoming album 'Rats In The Temple', set for release on August 28, 2026 via Napalm Records.
The tour announcement follows internal discussions initiated by vocalist Eric "A.K." Knutson, who stated the band is actively exploring partnership opportunities to make the tour viable.
Despite the challenges of touring in the United States, the band has acknowledged the financial realities, noting that European shows consistently generate greater revenue and fan engagement.
Knutson emphasized that the band currently operates with minimal touring support, relying on personal transportation and limited crew, which results in significant financial strain.
The band has not yet finalized a full itinerary, but the tour is expected to feature a range of dates across the U.S.
FLOTSAM AND JETSAM's current lineup includes Michael Gilbert and Steve Conley on guitar, Ken Mary on drums, and Bill Bodily on bass.
The new album marks 40 years since the band's debut, 'Doomsday For The Deceiver', which received a 6K rating from Kerrang! magazine.
The band has continued to evolve since bassist Jason Newsted's departure in 1991, with recent releases including 'Flotsam And Jetsam', 'The End Of Chaos', 'Blood In The Water', and 'I Am The Weapon'."
