Quebec, Canada’s Forgotten Tales have returned with their new album Other Times, set for release on February 12 via Rockshots Records. The record marks the band’s return after an extended hiatus, reconnecting with their melodic power metal roots while adopting a more direct, guitar-driven sound. The first single, "A Thousand Lies", addresses modern misinformation and the erosion of critical thinking, featuring a fast-paced symphonic track with galloping rhythms, dual-guitar harmonies, and a soaring chorus. The album explores themes of inner conflict, anxiety, loyalty, loss, and human evolution, unified by a central thread of resilience and personal growth.
Musically, the record maintains traditional power metal elements including fast riffing, double-kick drumming, and layered choirs, while incorporating subtle progressive touches and a modern production approach that enhances clarity and impact. Vocalist Sonia Pineault delivers a dynamic performance, shifting between forceful and introspective moments, supported by guitar work from Martin Desharnais and Marc-Olivier Lavoie.
The band will officially launch Other Times with a special release show on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at La Chapelle Spectacles in Québec City. Doors open at 7 PM, with the show beginning at 8 PM. The event will celebrate the new album and honor the band’s connection with fans.
