Joe Holmes, former guitarist for David Lee Roth and Ozzy Osbourne, has released a new solo album featuring a lineup similar to his FARMIKOS project.

The self-titled record showcases Holmes on guitar, Robert Locke on vocals, and his former bandmates, bassist Robert Trujillo and drummer Mike Bordin, on drums.

Brent Hoffort contributed melodies and lyrics to the tracks.

The album was co-produced with Rich Mouser, who also engineered it at his studio in Altadena, California.

Holmes credited his experiences, including lessons from Randy Rhoads, as contributing to the album's sound.

He dedicated the record to Ozzy's memory and expressed regret over not having more time with him before he passed.

The solo LP features a mix of original songs written by Holmes and Locke, with contributions from Hoffort.

FARMIKOS's debut album was released in 2015 to critical acclaim.

Holmes has had a storied career, including replacing Jason Becker on David Lee Roth's world tour and co-writing tracks for Ozzy's albums.
