Geoff Tate has announced the release of 'Operation: Mindcrime III', the third installment in QUEENSRŸCHE's acclaimed concept album series.

The album was recorded across 14 countries, including hotels, backstage at venues, a castle in France, Italy, and a cabin in the North Pole during winter.

It marks the recording debut with guitarist Kieran Robertson, who co-wrote several tracks with Tate.

The project was produced by DISTURBED bassist John Moyer, a collaborator on four of Tate's previous albums starting with 2015's 'The Key'.

'Operation: Mindcrime III' continues the thematic exploration of power, inequality, and societal manipulation that defined the original 1988 album.

Tate confirmed the enduring relevance of the concept, noting that the core narrative of 'us versus them' — between the wealthy and the working class — remains unchanged over nearly four decades.

The album follows a critical reception of 2006's 'Operation: Mindcrime II', which many critics viewed as a commercial sequel that diluted the original's impact.

Tate's involvement in the new release underscores his ongoing creative presence in the band's legacy.

In a separate legal development, a settlement was reached in 2014 between Tate and the remaining QUEENSRŸCHE members — guitarists Michael Wilton and Eddie Jackson, and drummer Scott Rockenfield.

The agreement grants Tate the sole rights to perform 'Operation: Mindcrime' and 'Operation: Mindcrime II' live, while the other members continue with the band under their own lineup.

Todd La Torre, Tate's replacement, has released four albums with QUEENSRŸCHE: 'Queensrÿche' (2013), 'Condition Hüman' (2015), 'The Verdict' (2019), and 'Digital Noise Alliance' (2022)."
