French metal band Gojira has officially announced the title and release date of their upcoming album.
The album, titled 'The Wretched', will be released on October 18 through Nuclear Blast.
This marks the band's first new studio record since 2022's 'Magma'.
The announcement was made via the label's official social media channels and confirmed by the band through a press release.
'The Wretched' is expected to feature a blend of progressive metal and heavy riffing, consistent with Gojira's signature sound.
The band is known for their work with the progressive metal genre, having previously released 'L'Enfer' and 'Terraform'.
According to Nuclear Blast, the album will be available in multiple formats including standard CD, vinyl, and digital download.
A full tracklist has not yet been released, but early promotional material suggests a focus on environmental themes and social commentary.
Gojira will also begin a global promotional tour in September to support the album.
The tour will span Europe and North America, with opening acts including Behemoth and Angra.
The tour will start on September 10 in Paris and conclude on October 24 in Los Angeles.
A complete itinerary will be released shortly after the album announcement."
