Joan Jett has canceled two upcoming concerts to recover from orthopedic surgery.

The rock legend, known for her role in The Blackhearts and her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, underwent surgery on a fractured vertebrae.

According to official communications, she will not perform at her scheduled shows in Costa Mesa, CA on September 5 and in Louisville, KY on September 24.

The decision follows medical advice and consultation with her doctors, with Jett prioritizing physical therapy and full recovery.

The announcement was shared via her social media on August 5.

Joann Jett & The Blackhearts continue to tour globally, headlining alongside acts including The Who, Green Day, Heart and Foo Fighters.

In other news, the band will reissue their 1981 album 'I Love Rock 'N Roll' on August 28 via Blackheart Records.

The 45th-anniversary edition will be released on CD and opaque sky blue vinyl.

The original album, a landmark in rock history, sold over 10 million copies worldwide and dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks.

It also produced the Top 10 hit 'Crimson & Clover'.

Blackheart Records, co-founded by Jett and Kenny Laguna, remains a leading force in music and entertainment, producing albums by bands such as Bikini Kill and The Germs."
