The film, co-directed by Sam Dunn and Tom Morello, celebrates JUDAS PRIEST’s enduring impact on metal culture with their iconic anthems ‘Breaking The Law,’ among others.

Featuring Rob Halford discussing the inspiration behind classic songs like ‘Breaking The Law,’ the documentary explores how JUDAS PRIEST both defined and expanded the sound of heavy metal over five decades, forging a more inclusive place within the genre.

Co-directors Morello and Dunn expressed gratitude to the band for their intimate access: “While some may know JUDAS PRIEST for their huge hits that have shaped the heavy metal genre, there is so much more to their story.” The documentary will cover the band’s incredible journey from humble beginnings in Birmingham, U.K., to global rock legends.

With over 50 million records sold and their influence reaching far beyond metal, JUDAS PRIEST has become a household name.

The film is produced by Banger Films with producers Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn.

The documentary features Rob Halford discussing the band’s story and impact on metal culture.

“Breaking The Law,’ which addresses many frustrations sitting at the core of the working class during Margaret Thatcher’s reign, is one such iconic anthem showcased in the film.

Along with this hit song, the documentary captures the enduring legacy of JUDAS PRIEST and their influence reaching far beyond metal.

JUDAS PRIEST’ current touring lineup consists of singer Rob Halford, bassist Ian Hill, guitarists Richie Faulkner and Andy Sneap, and drummer Scott Travis.

They were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2022 for their immense contributions to heavy metal culture.

JUDAS PRIEST’s latest album ‘Invincible Shield,’ entered the U.K. chart at No. 2 and received a Grammy nomination for “Best Metal Performance.” Their current touring schedule is yet another testament to their enduring legacy within heavy metal culture.
