KAMELOT has announced the release of a new album titled 'Dark Asylum', set for August 28 via Napalm Records.
The album marks the band's return to the studio with longtime producer Sascha Paeth, who returns to helm the project alongside Jacob Hansen, responsible for mixing and mastering.
Two singles, 'Ashen World' and 'Godlike Alchemy', have been made available prior to the album's release.
Ignacia Fernández, Miss World Chile 2025, makes a guest appearance on 'Ashen World' and 'Sanctuary'.
'Dark Asylum' expands the RavenHill narrative through fifteen interconnected compositions that blend orchestral passages, heavy guitar-driven arrangements, atmospheric textures, and character-based storytelling.
The band, formed in Florida in the early 1990s, has established itself as a defining force in modern symphonic and progressive power metal with albums including 'The Fourth Legacy', 'Karma', 'Epica', 'The Black Halo', 'Ghost Opera', 'Silverthorn', and 'The Awakening'.
The album follows KAMELOT's ongoing commitment to conceptual storytelling and ambitious live productions, with the band confirming the project as a continuation of its artistic vision.
No tour dates have been announced in connection with the release.
The announcement confirms the band's active creative output, with the new record being the band's fourteenth studio release and the first under the guidance of Paeth since their last album."
