KILLSWITCH ENGAGE Announces Post-Tour Plans and Future Releases
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE has confirmed its post-2025 touring schedule, with the band set to perform in New Zealand and Australia following its final U.S. show at Aftershock festival in Sacramento. The band has also indicated that it is exploring festival dates in Europe for the coming year, though no specific dates have been confirmed. According to frontman Jesse Leach, the group is currently considering whether to resume songwriting, with the possibility of releasing new material in the form of EPs or seven-inch singles.
The band recently completed a U.S. tour with support from MACHINE HEAD, IRON REAGAN, and HAVOK. Its 2025 album "This Consequence" was released via Metal Blade and marked the band's ninth studio record, its sixth with Leach, who rejoined in 2012. The album was accompanied by a successful winter and spring 2025 tour, which included co-headlining performances with BEARTOOTH, I PREVAIL, and PARKWAY DRIVE.
During the "This Consequence" recording sessions, 14 tracks were recorded, with four left off the final album. One track, "Blood Upon The Ashes," was released on the "The Dogs Of Hope" benefit album in August 2025, which raised funds for the Randolph County Animal Shelter in Wedowee, Alabama. The band plans to release one additional song via the same label and will consider releasing two other tracks as a B-side seven-inch.
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE has also discussed the possibility of releasing EPs in the future, citing the efficiency of releasing a smaller number of tracks with collectible elements such as exclusive vinyl. The band's songwriting process involves individual members submitting demos, followed by collaborative development in real time during jam sessions.
