King Diamond has officially parted ways with longtime guitarist Andy LaRocque, announcing the addition of Firewind and former Ozzy Osbourne collaborator Gus G to the band's lineup.
The change marks a significant shift in the band's future direction.
LaRocque shared a personal statement confirming his departure: "Just a short heads up: as many of you have seen I’ve left the King Diamond band.
Leaving a ‘family’ after more than 40 years full of great music, friends and lots of good memories is not an easy decision but we mutually decided to part ways in a respectful and friendly manner wishing each other the absolute best for the future! Now is the time for me to move on with full focus and write some more music and play live with Lex Legion." Gus G will join King Diamond as a guitarist and will take on responsibilities for composing, recording, and touring with the band moving forward.
This transition represents an exciting new chapter in the band's storied history.
The announcement was made directly by King Diamond, confirming the change in personnel and the new creative direction under Gus G's involvement.
No further details about tour dates or release schedules have been provided at this time."
