Legendary QUEEN drummer Roger Taylor has announced his new solo album, "Violence Insane In A Beautiful World", set for release on September 18 via Columbia Records.

The album marks his seventh solo release since 1977 and is his first since 2021's critically acclaimed "Outsider".

Taylor wrote all tracks except "Jealous Guy", a cover of John Lennon's song, with production and performance handled by himself and long-time collaborator Joshua J.

Macrae.

The Ndlovu Youth Choir from Limpopo, South Africa, contributed to three tracks, including a cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody" that Taylor described as "incredible".

The album features a thematic focus on global violence and the importance of kindness, with the lead track "A Beautiful World" inspired by a vision of Earth from an alien's perspective in orbit.

To promote the album, Roger Taylor will embark on a U.K. tour beginning September 21 in Newcastle.

The tour includes dates in Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, Swansea, and London's Roundhouse, where he previously performed as a guest with FOO FIGHTERS in 2011.

Fans who pre-order the album will receive exclusive access to tickets.

The tour lineup features Spike Edney on keyboards, Tyler Warren on drums, Tina Keys on multiple instruments, Neil Fairclough on bass, and Christian Mendoza on guitar.

The album is preceded by the single "I See You Now", accompanied by a music video directed by Sarina Taylor and Simon Lupton.

The release follows Taylor's 2020 OBE for services to music and his recent curation of a Collector's Edition of QUEEN's 1974 album "Queen II".
