The ashes of the late Motörhead frontman have found a permanent home at Download Festival, in a Lemmy Forever ceremony that honored his memory and legacy.

The ceremony took place in two locations - Download Festival itself, where fans gathered to pay their respects and share stories of Lemmy's impact on their lives, and later at O2 Apollo Manchester, where another Lemmy Forever ceremony was held with Ace of Skunk Anansie sharing his own memories of the legendary musician.

Following the ceremonies, Lemmy's ashes will remain at Download Festival throughout the year, making annual pilgrimages back to the festival grounds.

The move is seen as a nod to Lemmy's enduring connection to the music and its community.

In other news, BraveWords Records has been announced as the new home for ALCATRAZZ, Bangalore Choir, Crimson Glory, Jack Starr, Voices of Extreme, Paul Di'Anno's Warhorse, The Chris Slade Timeline, Rhett Forrester and Rob Robbins, Prophets of Addiction, ASKA, and Lillian Axe.
