Lillian Axe has confirmed the release of their long-awaited new studio album, set for early 2027 via BraveWords Records. The New Orleans-based band, known for albums including Lillian Axe, Love + War, Poetic Justice and Psychoschizophrenia, has also announced the addition of Keith Long as their new bass player. According to band leader Steve Blaze, Keith impressed during his first rehearsal and has been welcomed as a key member of the group.

Blaze revealed the band is now in the mixing phase of the album, following more than a year and a half of recording. The new project builds on their creative evolution, with the band describing it as a significant leap beyond previous works. The final artwork is nearing completion, and the band expresses enthusiasm for their new label, BraveWords Records.

BraveWords Records, which has previously released albums by Crimson Glory, Alcatrazz, Paul Di’Anno’s Warhorse, and Prophets of Addiction, has emphasized its commitment to artist development and global marketing. The label’s team, with nearly 100 years of combined industry experience, offers comprehensive support in distribution, media coverage, and streaming opportunities.

The announcement follows Lillian Axe’s recent success with the 2021 release of From Womb To Tomb, which reached No. 28 on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart and is regarded as the band’s magnum opus. The group, inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 2010, has toured with icons such as Alice Cooper and Ratt and has performed at major festivals including Sweden Rock and Firefest.
