The metalcore band Malevolence has partnered with MMORPG World of Warcraft to create a song in honor of the game's latest expansion, World of Warcraft: Midnight.
The new track is called "Twelve To Zero" and was written specifically within a 12-hour time frame by the band at the request of developer/publisher Blizzard Entertainment.
An avid WoW fan within Malevolence helped inspire the project, which ties directly into the March 2 release of the game's expansion.
The accompanying video documents the entire creative process, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at how the metalcore track was constructed – from riffs to breakdowns – before debuting at 10:37 in the clip.
The band explains that they were tasked by Blizzard to create a song in just 12 hours to celebrate their new expansion for World of Warcraft: Midnight.
Additionally, Malevolence and Guilt Trip are gearing up to cross the Atlantic this spring for the United Kingdom Metal and Hardcore Across North America 2026 tour.
This marks Malevolence's first proper U.S.
headline tour, with the band excited to share the spotlight with longtime friends and UK comrades Guilt Trip.
The tour kicks off on March 31 at The Shelter in Detroit, MI and wraps up on April 23 at XRay Arcade in Milwaukee, WI.
