Multi-instrumentalist Marta Gabriel has embarked on a solo project following her departure from Crystal Viper.

The result is 'The Live Quest', a farewell live album that showcases Gabriel's skills across vocals, guitar, bass, and drums, with guest guitar solos by Giuseppe Taormina (Ellende) and Ginoir (Sabbat).

The 11-track album features a mix of traditional heavy metal anthems and more melodic fare.

Standout tracks include "Heroes And The Dice", a driving metal song with twin leads and a soaring solo, as well as the catchy "Silver Stallions", which would make an excellent single.

Other highlights include the galloping rhythm of "The New Beginning" and the power metal pummeling of "Two Tons Of Steel".

Gabriel's vocals shine on the album, particularly in more AOR-infused tracks like "In The Middle Of The Night".

The production was handled by Olof Wikstrand (Enforcer), whose influence is evident.

The bonus tracks "Black Wind, Fire And Steel" and "Walls Of Jericho/Ride The Sky" are exclusive to certain formats.

Fans of Crystal Viper will find some familiarity in Gabriel's playing style, but 'The Live Quest' also showcases her ability to explore different sonic landscapes and forge a unique identity beyond her former band.
