MASTODON has released its new album "Marrow Deep", which marks the band's first full-length record without former guitarist Brent Hinds. The album, released August 28 via Loma Vista Recordings, was co-produced at the band's West End Sound in Atlanta with Patrik Berger and Kurt Ballou, and mixed by Andrew Scheps. It features new guitarist Nick Johnston and significant contributions from keyboardist João Nogueira.

The record's title reflects the emotional depth of personal relationships, with Brann Dailor citing the loss of his mother and the death of Hinds as central themes. Dailor confirmed during an August 6 appearance on SiriusXM that both tragedies influenced the album's lyrical and emotional core.

To celebrate the release, MASTODON has launched the "The Poisonous Weapons Tour", a nationwide tour beginning September 16 in Orlando and concluding October 24 at Sick New World Dallas. The tour features DEAFHEAVEN and ALCEST as supporting acts.

The second single from "Marrow Deep", "Snakes For Dinner", includes a collaboration with QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's Josh Homme, who previously joined MASTODON on the 2006 song "Colony Of Birchmen". The band has also released a documentary titled "The Mastodon In The Room", where Dailor, Troy Sanders, and Bill Kelliher reflect on Hinds' legacy and the impact of his death on the group.
