MASTODON has announced its long-awaited new album, 'Marrow Deep', set for release on August 28 via Loma Vista Recordings.

The album marks the band's first full-length to feature guitarist Nick Johnston and includes significant contributions from keyboardist João Nogueira.

It was co-produced at the band's West End Sound in Atlanta by Patrik Berger and Kurt Ballou, with mixing handled by Andrew Scheps.

The record was developed over several years, with demo work beginning in 2024 and recording commencing in September 2025.

The band credits the songwriting process to a surge in creative output during their 2024 North American tour with LAMB OF GOD, followed by extensive demoing in guitarist Bill Kelliher's home studio.

'Marrow Deep' draws inspiration from Greek mythology's Three Fates, reflecting on themes of life, loss, and destiny.

The album represents a pivotal evolution for MASTODON, as the band expands from a four-piece to a five-piece lineup following the departure of founding guitarist Brent Hinds in March 2025.

Hinds died in a motorcycle accident five months later.

To celebrate the album's release, MASTODON will launch 'The Poisonous Weapons Tour', beginning September 16 in Orlando, Florida, and concluding October 24 at Sick New World in Dallas.

The tour will feature DEAFHEAVEN and ALCEST as supporting acts."
