MASTODON has officially released the title and details of its long-awaited new album, 'Marrow Deep', set for release on August 28 via Loma Vista Recordings.

The record marks the band's first full-length album to feature guitarist Nick Johnston, with significant contributions from keyboardist João Nogueira.

The album was co-produced at MASTODON's West End Sound studio in Atlanta by Patrik Berger and Kurt Ballou, with mixing handled by Andrew Scheps.

'Marrow Deep' represents a shift toward heavier, riff-driven music compared to its predecessor, 'Hushed And Grim'.

According to band members, the change emerged naturally following five years of touring and creative exploration.

Guitarist Bill Kelliher and drummer Brann Dailor initiated a heavier sound, echoing the band's 'Leviathan' era.

This marks the first time MASTODON has featured a five-piece lineup, with all members actively contributing to songwriting and recording.

The band will celebrate the album's release with 'The Poisonous Weapons Tour', launching September 16 in Orlando, Florida.

The tour will span across the United States, concluding on October 24 at Sick New World in Dallas.

The tour will feature DEAFHEAVEN and ALCEST as supporting acts.

Founding guitarist Brent Hinds departed the band in March 2025 and passed away in a motorcycle accident five months later.

He was replaced by Nick Johnston, who has since become a full member of the band."
