Grammy Award-winning thrash metal legends MEGADETH have announced 'Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations', a 24-date European arena tour kicking off March 9, 2027 in Belfast, UK, and concluding April 13 in Lisbon, Portugal.
The tour is part of MEGADETH's multi-year global farewell journey, designed as a celebration of their four-decade career rather than a final goodbye.
The European leg will visit 12 of the 22 global markets where their seventeenth and final studio album, 'Megadeth', reached the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 — marking the band's first-ever No. 1 album. The album debuted at No. 1 after earning 73,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending January 29, 2026, with 69,000 units driven by pure sales.
'Megadeth' also topped charts in Australia, Austria, Sweden, the U.K., Germany, and New Zealand, with No. 1 physical sales in Sweden and Finland.
The tour features MEGADETH headlining alongside fellow metal titans BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and TESTAMENT, creating one of the most anticipated heavy metal touring packages of 2027.
The full itinerary includes stops in the UK, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
The current lineup includes Mustaine, Mäntysaari, drummer Dirk Verbeuren, and bassist James LoMenzo.
Tickets go on sale August 7, 2026, with a Cyber Army presale on August 4 and an Artist Presale on August 5.
VIP packages include meet-and-greet opportunities, premium merchandise, early entry, and exclusive memorabilia.
