Mental Cruelty has announced their new studio album, Echoes Of A Forlorn Land, set for release on October 23 via Century Media. The album features the third single, "Raise The Raven Banner," available now with a music video. Produced, mixed, and mastered by Jens Bogren of Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth, and Kreator, the record expands beyond deathcore into a fusion of black metal, folk, and power metal, marking the band's most ambitious and immersive work to date.

To coincide with the album release, Mental Cruelty will launch a European headline tour from late November to December. The tour will span 21 cities and feature opening acts Ov Sulfur on their inaugural European run, alongside Extermination Dismemberment, Acranius, and Sun Eater. The band will also perform at Music Forge Festival in just over a week.

Echoes Of A Forlorn Land is available in multiple formats including a limited CD Digipak, standard CD jewelcase, bloodlust LP, crimson snow LP (limited to 500 copies), deep sea LP (US version), and a limited deluxe box set. The album marks a significant evolution in Mental Cruelty's sound, blending Norse mythology themes with heavy metal elements. The band has confirmed that the music video for "Raise The Raven Banner" was created in collaboration with Riivata Visuals from Finland, with previous work on videos for Orbit Culture, Humanity’s Last Breath, Allt, and Insomnium.
