Motörhead has announced a 40th anniversary edition of its 1986 album Orgasmatron, set for release on November 6. The reissue features the original studio recordings remastered and cut at half speed from the original tapes, alongside a new remix by longtime collaborator Cameron Webb. The original production was handled by Bill Laswell, with engineering by Jason Corsaro, and the band has emphasized the importance of preserving the raw, unpolished character of the original recordings.

Cameron Webb, who was introduced to Orgasmatron at age 14, described the project as deeply personal. He aimed to respect the original work while revealing more of the album’s sonic details, channeling what Lemmy and Phil Campbell had expressed about their preferred sound. The new remix does not replace the original but enhances the existing tracks, focusing on bass and guitar clarity while maintaining the album’s aggressive edge.

The 40th Anniversary Edition is available in multiple formats: a deluxe 3LP bookpack and 2CD set, which includes the remastered original mix, the Cameron Webb Remix, studio rehearsals and outtakes from 1985, and the complete BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show session from 1986. A standalone 1LP pressing is also available on transparent violet vinyl, featuring only the original studio album.

The release includes all tracks from the original album, with additional content such as alternate versions and live session recordings.
