MUNICIPAL WASTE has confirmed a tour spanning South America for the end of the year, featuring performances with TESTAMENT and IMMOLATION. The tour marks the band's first visit to the region in years and will be followed by a series of U.S. shows with CIRCLE JERKS. The tour will include multiple dates across South America and will serve as a major expansion of the band's global reach.

The band has also confirmed that a new record is underway and is expected to be released next year. According to the group, all members contribute to songwriting, with riffs developed in practice rooms and built upon through live sessions with no click track. The new album is expected to build on the dynamic style of their 2022 release "Electrified Brain", incorporating more complexity while maintaining the band's signature WASTE-style approach.

MUNICIPAL WASTE, formed in Richmond, Virginia in 2001, has established itself as a leading force in 21st century thrash metal. The band's debut album, "Waste 'Em All", released in 2003, earned critical acclaim and helped inspire a new wave of thrash metal bands. Their 2007 release "The Art Of Partying" was named one of the "50 Greatest Thrash Metal Albums Ever" by Metal Hammer and recognized as "The Best Thrash Album Of 2007" by Loudwire.

The 2022 album "Electrified Brain" was recorded during the pandemic in Philadelphia with producer Arthur Rizk and marked the first time the band members reunited in person after a year-long hiatus. The sessions resulted in a heavier, more layered sound that set a new standard for the group's studio work.
