Video footage of NAILBOMB’s January 20 show at 1720 in Los Angeles is now available.
Led by former SEPULTURA and current SOULFLY frontman Max Cavalera, the project has been revived after a long hiatus. The current lineup features three guitarists — Max, his son Igor Amadeus Cavalera, and Travis Stone — alongside Adam Jarvis (MISERY INDEX, PIG DESTROYER) on drums and Jackie Cruz (GO AHEAD AND DIE) on bass.
In an August 2025 interview with Bloodstock TV host Oran O’Beirne, Max discussed reviving NAILBOMB for a November 9, 2024 show at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, Arizona. The band has since completed a summer 2025 European run, including appearances at Wacken Open Air in Germany and Bloodstock Open Air in the UK.
Explaining the timing, Max said NAILBOMB had always followed him throughout his career and felt unfinished. He noted the band’s roots in festival settings, dating back to Dynamo Open Air 1995, and described the lineup as a collection of underground players brought together for something raw and unique.
Max also ruled out a follow-up to NAILBOMB’s sole studio album, 1994’s Point Blank, calling the project something he prefers to keep “cult.”
NAILBOMB’s current plans include additional European festival dates and U.S. shows. Footage from the January 20 Los Angeles performance can now be found on video streaming platforms. Watch the full set here: https://youtu.be/Nsx7zbgaj0M
