Adam "Nergal" Darski of BEHEMOTH has announced a special live project with Icelandic black metal band MISÞYRMING.

The collaboration will perform BEHEMOTH's 1995 debut album "Sventevith (Storming Near The Baltic)" in its entirety during a dedicated 2026 live event to commemorate the record's 30th anniversary.

The project marks the first time the album has been presented as a full conceptual live performance.

BEHEMOTH, formed in 1991 in Poland, began as a black metal act before evolving into a fusion of black and death metal, known for its intense speed, complex compositions, and occult themes.

The band has released critically acclaimed albums including "Demigod" (2004), "The Apostasy" (2007), "Evangelion" (2009), and "The Satanist" (2014).

Their latest album, "The Shit Ov God", was released in May 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records.

The title of "The Shit Ov God" was conceived by Nergal as a primal act of rebellion, inverting the Christian cross to symbolize a rejection of traditional religious dogma.

He described it as a raw, atavistic statement reflecting existential philosophy: if God exists, then humans are excrement—yet this should be embraced as a badge of honor.

Production on "The Shit Ov God" was handled by Jens Bogren of Fascination Street Studios, with visual design completed by Bartek Rogalewicz and Dark Sigil Workshop.
