NEUROSIS has unveiled its first new album in a decade, "An Undying Love For A Burning World," released March 2026 via Neurot Recordings.

The album marks a significant return for the band, which officially reunited in late 2023 after a period of silence following the 2019 split with co-founder Scott Kelly.

In a recent interview with The New Scene, vocalist and guitarist Steve Von Till detailed the emotional and personal journey that led to the band's revival.

Von Till explained that the decision to move forward was not immediate.

"From 2019 to 2022, we couldn't talk.

We couldn't say anything.

We just tended to a rotting corpse," he recalled.

"It was purgatory.

We had to process the ego death, the humiliation, and wonder how and what and why." The reunion was solidified in September 2025 when Von Till, drummer Jason Roeder, bassist Dave Edwardson, and keyboardist Noah Landis gathered in Aaron Turner’s yard on the island where he lives.

"Are we doing this? If we're doing this, we're making plans tomorrow," Von Till said, describing the moment as a turning point.

The band began recording in a phased approach—breaking the album into three segments, each recorded over a two-week period during weekends when members were able to work around their jobs.

Aaron Turner, known for his work with SUMAC and ISIS, joined the band as a core member, bringing a new sonic energy and perspective.

The group had long admired Turner’s work and had previously collaborated on releases through Neurot Recordings.

"We didn’t have to explain the vibe," Von Till said.

"It was all ingrained." The album was recorded at Studio Litho in Seattle over three weekends during the winter of 2025 and mixed in three days at Antisleep Audio in Oakland, just six weeks before its March 2026 release.

The recording process followed NEUROSIS’s signature communal approach—where each member contributes parts, which are then deconstructed and rebuilt through collective feedback until the final form emerges.

The band has not yet announced a tour or festival performance in connection with the release, but the reunion and new album represent a major newsworthy development in the band's history."
