Berzan Önen, who has long admired late vocalist Warrel Dane, stated that singing Nevermore songs feels 'second nature' to him, while also incorporating his own lyrical style and vocal approach. Semir Özerkan, a lifelong fan of the band, expressed deep emotional connection to Nevermore’s legacy, noting that the band was one of his top three favorite American acts and that Warrel Dane's passing left a lasting impact.

Jeff Loomis emphasized that the band is not seeking a Warrel Dane clone, but rather a vocalist capable of performing the songs with authenticity and personal expression. He confirmed that the core of Nevermore’s sound—established by Loomis and Van Williams—will remain intact, with new members contributing to the band’s evolving musical dynamic. Berzan, Jack, and Semir will contribute original lyrics, melodies, and riffs, enriching the band’s creative output without altering its foundational identity.

The new Nevermore album is set for release in 2025. The band has confirmed its first show with the new lineup, which went well and received strong fan engagement.
