Montreal metal trio Ombra has announced the release of their debut EP, Night Terror, on September 14. The EP delivers a conceptual journey through themes of fear, obsession, chemical dependency, and the psychological toll of modern life. The band has unveiled the third single from the project, "Blue Dream," which explores the descent into paranoia and loss of control following fleeting highs. Musically, the track features crushing riffs and psychedelic tension, serving as a pivotal moment in the EP’s progression from societal panic to full psychological collapse.

Ombra formed in 2020 when Giuseppe "G" Criniti and Marco Sisti departed their hard-rock/progressive project NRTH to pursue a heavier sound. Marco’s cousin, Nico-Angelo Sisti, a prominent figure in the Montreal metal scene and former member of Hidden Pride, joined the band. All three members share roots in Lachine, having grown up in the same neighborhood and attended the same schools.

Night Terror, written between 2021 and 2026, reflects on a decade defined by war, media distortion, and emotional collapse. The EP progresses from "Hysteria" and "Stitches" to "Blue Dream," culminating in the title track "Night Terror," where Murphy’s Law is applied to the psyche, leading to inevitable loss of control. The release concludes with "So It Goes," an instrumental moment of acceptance and emotional release.

The EP is available on all digital platforms starting September 14 via too.fm/eab92od. It is released through BraveWords Records, which also represents artists including Alcatrazz, Power Trip, and Rammstein.
