P.O.D. has completed its new studio album, recorded at Memory Music Studios in the Whitman section of South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The recording sessions, which took place over 12 days, were led by Grammy-winning producer and engineer Will Yip, who previously won a Grammy for TURNSTILE's 'Best Rock Album.' The album is an extension of P.O.D.'s 2024 release 'Veritas,' with lyrical themes that build on its foundation while representing a creative evolution. All 13 songs were tracked in full, including vocals, drums, and guitars, with guitarist Marcos Curiel writing on a seven-string guitar for several tracks.

The band confirmed that the album is a deeply personal and musically diverse project, blending punk, metal, reggae, funk, and jazz. P.O.D. emphasized that the recording process was driven by genuine artistic connection, with Yip expressing strong admiration for the band and committing to enhancing their sound without imposing changes. The producer, a fan of P.O.D. since the 1990s, stated he only works with bands he respects, and his involvement was rooted in mutual appreciation.

The new album marks P.O.D.'s first studio recording outside of California. The band noted the experience was both culturally enriching and physically demanding, with members walking daily from their Airbnb to the studio. The environment of South Philadelphia inspired a strong sense of community and vibrancy, which the band described as a key part of the creative process.

The album will now enter the mixing and mastering phase, with the band expecting to release singles soon. P.O.D. has previously released singles from 'Veritas,' including 'Drop' with Randy Blythe of LAMB OF GOD and 'Afraid To Die' featuring Tatiana Shmayluk of JINJER. The new project is described as 'heavy' yet 'extremely beautiful,' with vocalist Sonny Sandoval calling it the best album the band has ever written.
