Toronto’s Prepare The Ground festival has revealed the full lineup for its third edition, running May 29–31, 2026 across downtown Toronto.

Single-day lineups and passes are now available, further cementing the festival’s reputation as one of North America’s most adventurous platforms for heavy music and experimental art.

New additions include avant-garde composer William Basinski, Norwegian occult black metal trio Witch Club Satan, Texas punk/black metal force Portrayal of Guilt, ambient composer Kathryn Mohr, and Portland doom mainstay Mizmor.

They join a lineup led by Amenra, performing two sets—one heavy, one quiet—and Oathbreaker, reuniting exclusively for North America to perform Rheia in full.

Also appearing are Torche, Oranssi Pazuzu, Pallbearer (Foundations of Burden in full), HELL, Stygian Bough, and …And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead performing Source Tags & Codes in full.

Prepare The Ground spans two city blocks and four venues—Trinity St. Paul’s Church, Lee’s Palace, The Cave, and Transac—alongside an outdoor arts market and a dedicated theatre for film scores and multidisciplinary programming.
