Mysterious masked British rock band PRESIDENT, rumored to be fronted by Charlie Simpson of BUSTED and FIGHTSTAR, has revealed its debut album, "Blood Of Your Empire," set for release on September 4 via Atlantic Records.
The band also premiered the visualizer for the single "Dark Heaven" ahead of the album drop.
"Dark Heaven" explores the contradictions of faith, questioning how religious ideals have often been used to justify division, violence, and power.
The track, which opens with seasick distortion and a buoyant 808 beat, features a commanding pre-chorus: "Gather 'round children, sing Hallelujah," before transitioning into a powerful, glitchy confession: "I used to stare at the cross and cry out for God, but I'm not the person I was." The album cover features Eugène Delacroix's painting "The Battle Of Poitiers," which hangs in the Louvre.
PRESIDENT stated: "'Blood Of Your Empire' was born out of my own struggle with existential crisis and trying to make sense of belief, mortality, and humanity's relationship with faith.
Religion has inspired incredible compassion, purpose, and beauty in the world — but it has also been responsible for unimaginable suffering and bloodshed throughout history.
This album lives in the tension between those two truths.
Writing it became a way for me to confront the fear, confusion, and questions I've carried for years, and turn them into something I'm truly proud of." Following its debut U.S.
run supporting BAD OMENS, PRESIDENT will headline a full U.S.
tour this fall.
Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicks off September 4 at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville and includes stops in Chicago, New York, Toronto, Boston, Atlanta, Denver, Seattle, and Los Angeles, concluding on October 14 at House of Blues in Dallas.
The entire tour is already sold out, with support from CENOBIA and SHOWING TEETH on select dates.
The full track listing includes: Angel Wings, Doom Loop, Dark Heaven, Pink Noise, Mercy, Sleepwalker, Dionysus, This Will Divide Us, Hate Figure (feat.
Ando San), and White Devil.
PRESIDENT's debut EP, "King Of Terrors," was released in fall 2025."
