POISON drummer Rikki Rockett has announced a special drum clinic at Octopus Music School in Red Bank, New Jersey.

The event, scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026, will feature Rockett alongside his tech and HIGH PRIESTESS drummer Meg Mullins.

Only 55 attendees will be admitted, with tickets available through the school’s online store.

The session includes a meet-and-greet and is part of Rockett’s ongoing outreach to music education.

The clinic will take place at 1009 Chestnut Street, Red Bank, New Jersey 07701.

Octopus Music School operates locations in North Brunswick, South Plainfield, Hillsborough, and Red Bank.

Rockett is also promoting the release of his memoir, "Ghost Notes: My Life In Poison", which will be published this summer by Rare Bird Books.

The book, co-written with Leif Eriksson and Martin Svensson, explores the behind-the-scenes moments of his career, including his early days in the Los Angeles club scene and the challenges of touring in the tri-state area.

The memoir draws a parallel between the technical aspects of drumming and the personal 'ghost notes' that define his journey, emphasizing the often-overlooked details of a musician’s life.

Rockett, who co-founded POISON in the 1980s, has been active in music since the band’s inception.

POISON has sold over 50 million records worldwide, with chart-topping hits like "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" and "Look What The Cat Dragged In".

The band’s original lineup — Rockett, Bret Michaels, Bobby Dall, and C.C.

DeVille — completed a reunion tour in 2022 with MÖTLEY CRÜE, DEF LEPPARD, and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS.

Rockett was diagnosed with oral cancer in 2015 and declared cancer-free in 2016.

He married longtime partner TC Smith in April 2022.

In October 2024, Rockett also launched a new band, THE ROCKETT MAFIA."
