SACRED REICH has announced the release of its new album 'Into The Abyss', set for release via Metal Blade Records.

The follow-up to 2019's 'Awakening' was recorded at The Focusrite Room in Mesa, Arizona, with John Aquilino serving as both producer and engineer.

The album was mixed by legendary producer Bill Metoyer.

It marks the band's first full-length release since the addition of new drummer Eduardo Baldo, who replaced longtime member Dave McClain last fall.

McClain laid down drum tracks for 'Into The Abyss' prior to his departure from the band.

His exit was confirmed on October 20, 2025, with the band stating he is no longer a member.

A statement at the time noted that McClain would continue his musical endeavors, including touring, recording and teaching.

Eduardo Baldo, a Brazilian drummer previously associated with RED DEVIL VORTEX, officially joined SACRED REICH in December 2025.

He played behind the kit during the band's European shows in November 2025 with HATEBREED.

The band welcomed Baldo in a statement, calling him a 'great dude' who fits well with the group and brings 'his own style, enthusiasm and power'.

The album's songwriting is primarily attributed to guitarist Joey Radziwill, who joined the band in 2019.

The new direction is described as faster and heavier, with lyrical themes centered on personal and collective darkness, reflecting the band's experiences since 2019.

Despite the darker tone, the album includes optimistic tracks to emphasize that 'this too shall pass'."
