Shudder has announced 'V/H/S/MIXTAPE', the ninth installment in the 'V/H/S' franchise, which premieres on October 9, 2026.

The film blends cosmic horror, psychological suspense, and practical effects into a found-footage horror experience centered on the power of music and sound to haunt and destroy.

The anthology features new segments directed by Ernest Dickerson, RZA, David Moreau, and Renee Zhan, whose segment includes original puppets created by Jim Henson's Creature Shop.

The film also includes original music video interludes directed by Flying Lotus and a debut music video by Tobias Forge of GHOST.

GWAR makes a featured appearance, reinforcing the film's celebration of music and cult cinema.

Producers include Josh Goldbloom, Steven Schneider, Roy Lee, Michael Schreiber, Brad Miska, Ben Ross, and Rami Yassin.

The release follows the record-breaking opening weekend of 'V/H/S/HALLOWEEN', which became the most-watched exclusive film premiere of 2025 on Shudder and AMC+.

Shudder continues to expand its library of original horror content, including critically acclaimed titles such as 'LA Llorona', 'Mad God', 'Skinamarink', 'Watcher', 'When Evil Lurks', 'In A Violent Nature', 'Late Night With The Devil', 'Oddity', and the latest 'V/H/S' films.
