Silence Equals Death has unveiled their latest single "At Peace" as part of their upcoming EP From The Ashes, set to release on April 17.
The track is now available for pre-order via this link Link.
According to vocalist Scott Earth, the song's lyrics were inspired by a near-death experience and his recollection of feeling calm during chaos.
"The dissonant chords bring anguish and harsh emotion," he explained, "while the pounding drums deliver a punch in the gut." Guitarist Dave Horner praised the band's sound, saying it combines metal aggression with hardcore ethos.
Meanwhile, guitarist Jeff Manion noted that the music "holds back" and gives space between notes to breathe.
The song's video showcases the band's energy at Otterhouse studios in Brooklyn, where they had a blast creating their latest visual project.
"We went balls out," drummer Frankie Deangelis recalled, "and knew we'd had something special." The single is part of Silence Equals Death's ongoing effort to blend metal and hardcore sounds.
