Slayer, the legendary thrash metal band, has officially announced their new album titled 'Divide the World,' set for release on September 13, 2024.

The announcement was made through the band's official website and social media channels, marking their first studio album in over a decade.

The album follows a decade-long hiatus after the 2014 release of 'The Final Countdown,' and comes after a series of reunion shows and fan-driven calls for new music.

'Divide the World' will be released via Metal Blade Records and is expected to feature a mix of aggressive thrash elements and modern metal production.

In a statement, guitarist Kerry King said, "We’ve been working on this for years.

This album is a statement of resilience and defiance.

It’s about breaking boundaries and standing firm in the face of adversity." The band has not yet confirmed a full tour schedule, but they have teased a series of shows in North America and Europe starting in October 2024.

A full tour itinerary will be released in early September.

The new album is set to be available in digital and physical formats, including a limited edition vinyl with a custom artwork and a 12-page booklet featuring rare photos and band commentary."
