Legendary band SLEEP has announced the release of a new album, Hemispheres, set for digital release on September 3 and physical release on October 30 via Jack White's Third Man Records.

This follows 2018's The Sciences and marks the band's first album without founding guitarist Matt Pike of HIGH ON FIRE.

The album features Al Cisneros on bass and vocals, Dale Crover on drums, and Bubba Dupree on guitar.

Crover has been a member of the MELVINS and REDD KROSS, while Dupree is from VOID, a band from Columbia, Maryland.

The trio's chemistry was evident during early sessions, with Cisneros stating the first jam session immediately established a strong, cohesive vibe.

The album includes the tracks: Have Spacesuit Will Travel, The Morrisist, Hempispheres, Arrival of the Industry Ships, and Whole Wheat Mountain Well Baked.

SLEEP will launch its summer and fall 2026 tour on September 8 in San Diego, California.

The tour follows a period of half a dozen shows in 2022.

In January 2025, drummer Jason Roeder revealed he had been 'unceremoniously fired by SLEEP's manager over the phone' in November 2024 and had not spoken to band members since.

This marks a significant personnel change, with the band now operating without Roeder.

The new album and tour represent a major shift in the band's current lineup and creative direction."
