SOLITUDE AETURNUS has confirmed James-Paul Luna as its new vocalist, making his live debut at the Candelabrum Metal Fest in León, Mexico on September 12. Luna joined the Texas-based doom metal band last month, replacing Robert Lowe, whose departure was announced in April. The band stated in an August 1 announcement that Luna, known for his work with HOLY GRAIL and INTRANCED, brings a commanding stage presence and a powerful yet melodic voice that aligns with SOLITUDE AETURNUS's sound.

The current lineup includes John Perez on guitar, Edgar Rivera on guitar, Lyle Steadham on bass, and Logan Cade on drums. SOLITUDE AETURNUS performed with guest singer Jason McMaster at Maryland Deathfest on May 21. The band’s latest album, "Alone," was released in 2006.

Formed in 1987 as SOLITUDE, the band changed its name to SOLITUDE AETURNUS in 1989 after a legal dispute. Their debut album, "Into The Depths Of Sorrow," was recorded in 1990 and released in 1991 via Roadrunner Records. The band has undergone several lineup changes and label shifts over the decades, including a break from 1996 to 2005 and a temporary hiatus in the 2000s.

In 2005, Steve Nichols joined as drummer, and master bassist James Martin was added, leading to a mini tour of Greece and Germany in 2006. The band has remained active through multiple tours and releases, with a strong presence in the underground metal scene.
