Metal icons Soulfly have announced a 25-date U.S. tour set to begin in September and conclude in October. The tour kicks off with a festival appearance at Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 18, followed by stops in Columbia, Missouri; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Austin, Texas; and other major cities across the Midwest and Southwest. The tour culminates with a hometown headline show in Tempe, Arizona, on October 15.
The lineup features cult-favorite industrial sludge/crust punk band Nailbomb, formed in 1993 as the side project of Max Cavalera and Alex Newport. Nailbomb will make a rare appearance, bringing politically charged lyrics and a modern rotating lineup. The tour also includes Richie Cavalera’s Incite, a thrash powerhouse known for its evolving sound and the recently released single "Just A Rat" from their album Savage New Times.
General admission tickets go on sale July 15 at 10 AM local time via soulfly.com/tour. The tour includes performances at venues such as The Blue Note, The Whisky A Go-Go, and The Marquee in Tempe.
Soulfly’s new album Chama, released in August, was recorded at Platinum Underground Studio in Mesa, Arizona, and produced by Zyon Cavalera and Arthur Rizk. The album features bass by Igor Amadeus Cavalera, guitar by Mike De Leon, and guest appearances from Dino Cazares and Todd Jones. The album is available in multiple formats including CD, vinyl, and a limited edition picture disc. The full set list includes tracks such as "Favela / Dystopia," "No Pain No Power," and "Chama."
