In a recent interview with Jaimunji, former NIGHTWISH singer Tarja Turunen discussed her approach to preparing for tours.

When asked if she practices by performing songs while running around in high heels, Turunen shared a relatable anecdote about wearing high heels during a 2023 German tour and experiencing severe pain as a result.

She laughed off the memory, saying it was a sign that those days were over.

Turunen's new studio album, "Frisson Noir", will be released on June 12 via earMUSIC.

The album explores Tarja's dialogue between cinematic orchestration, classical heritage, and contemporary metal.

Featuring intimate piano passages, dramatic orchestral textures, and powerful guitar-driven moments, the album showcases Tarja's distinctive voice and emotional expression.

The international "Frisson" live tour will kick off on September 30 in Berlin, with special guests Dani Filth (CRADLE OF FILTH), APOCALYPTICA, Marko Hietala (ex-NIGHTWISH) and Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS).

Turunen's powerful voice has been a cornerstone of her solo work since releasing five rock/metal albums since 2007, including her latest album "In The Raw" in 2019.

Her iconic vocal range has left fans wowed for years.
