THE GATHERING has announced a global 30th-anniversary tour celebrating the release of its 1995 album "Mandylion," which will span Europe, North America, and South America.

The tour began on May 19, 2026, at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire in London, United Kingdom, and will conclude with a headlining performance on October 17 at Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile.

The event marks a reunion of the original "Mandylion" lineup, following a series of reunion shows held in 2025 at Doornroosje in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, and a prior try-out concert at Dynamo in Eindhoven.

The tour is set to include around 30 shows across the globe, with fans expected to experience a nostalgic return to the band's 1990s sound and energy.

Due to personal circumstances, keyboardist Frank Boeijen has taken a temporary break from touring and will be replaced by Remco Van Zandvoort, who previously filled in for Boeijen in 2022.

The lineup has confirmed no future shows beyond the 2026 tour, with guitarist René Rutten stating that the final show will be in Chile and that the band will not continue beyond this anniversary cycle.

Van Giersbergen, who left the band in 2007, has since released solo albums and works with her AGUA DE ANNIQUE project.

Silje Wergeland, who had fronted THE GATHERING since 2009, announced her departure in December 2025, citing a need to pursue new musical ventures.

The reunion tour is being presented as a special, one-time celebration of the album's legacy, with no plans for ongoing activity beyond the 2026 dates.

The band's third studio album, "Mandylion," was released in August 1995 via Century Media Records and was the first to feature Anneke Van Giersbergen as the lead vocalist.

The tour has drawn strong fan enthusiasm, with reports indicating the initial plan of a single show has expanded to a full year of performances across continents."
