The Rolling Stones have announced their new studio album, Foreign Tongues, set to release on July 10th through Polydor/Universal Music.
The album is preceded by the single "In The Stars", which was released digitally along with the opening track "Rough And Twisted".
A physical release of the single will occur on May 15th.
In related news, a limited white label vinyl edition of the song "Rough And Twisted" has been circulating among fans and collectors, showcasing an early glimpse into Foreign Tongues' raw energy.
The album is recorded during a highly creative period and brought to life in under a month at Metropolis Studios in London with Andrew Watt behind the board.
The result is a forward-looking record that captures the band's unmistakable sound while pushing new sonic and lyrical territory.
Standout performances come from Jagger, Richards, and Wood alongside their collaborators including Darryl Jones, Matt Clifford, and Steve Jordan.
The album also includes special guest appearances by Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith of The Cure, and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
On the recording process, Mick Jagger reflected: "I love doing these recording sessions in London at Metropolis." He added that they recorded Foreign Tongues as fast as possible, taking advantage of their time together.
Keith Richards said: "The Foreign Tongues album has continuity from Hackney Diamonds and it was great to be working in London again," praising the vibe and the band's performance.
Ronnie Wood commented that the atmosphere in the room was so creative and that they often nailed it on the first take.
The album's striking cover artwork is a painting created by Nathaniel Mary Quinn, who described creating the artwork as an artistic honour.
Foreign Tongues will be available on various formats including CD, deluxe editions, cassette, multiple vinyl variants, exclusive retailer editions, and special box sets alongside the single "In The Stars" on CD and vinyl formats.
