Irish rock band Thin Lizzy is celebrating the 55th anniversary of its debut studio album with a newly expanded Deluxe Edition, featuring 15 unreleased recordings, rare BBC sessions, and a first-ever Dolby Atmos mix.

The 1971 self-titled debut, released on April 30, 1971, marked the debut of the original lineup of Phil Lynott (bass and vocals), Eric Bell (guitar), and Brian Downey (drums).

The new release, which includes a 4LP set, a 3CD/Blu-ray boxset, and two vinyl editions—green and blue—returns to where the band began with a comprehensive collection of rare material.

The 3CD/Blu-ray boxset features a brand-new stereo mix by Richard Whittaker, alongside the first-ever Dolby Atmos mix, and is housed in a rigid 10×10 box with a 40-page hardback book containing extensive liner notes by Mojo’s Mark Blake and memorabilia.

The set also includes the original New Day EP and BBC session recordings, with rare tracks like 'Beggar’s Song' being officially released for the first time.

'Beggar’s Song,' originally surviving only on a one-sided acetate given by Phil Lynott to a friend, was rediscovered and is now included as an unreleased studio track.

The full tracklist spans across multiple formats, including studio takes, instrumentals, alternate vocals, and extended versions of classic tracks.
