Former Symphony X bassist Thomas Miller has released his debut project, Thomas Miller’s Lazarus Effect, on Sensory Records. The eponymous album, a forty-nine-minute progressive metal opus, features two of Miller’s former Symphony X bandmates: guitarist Michael Romeo and keyboardist Michael Pinnella. The album was mixed and mastered by Eric Rachel, known for his work with Symphony X and Black Sabbath, and designed by Rodrigo Gudiña, who also created the music video for the track "Fear No Evil."

The debut album includes the tracks "Dark Horse," "Fear No Evil," "All The King’s Horses," "Closer To The Sun," "Aria Etude" (bonus), "When Darkness Falls," "Culmination," "Sailing To Utopia," and the suite "Pt 1: In The Palace Of Knossos" through "Pt 5: Return."

Sensory Records, the metal division of The Laser’s Edge, will release Thomas Miller’s Lazarus Effect on CD, LP, and digital platforms on October 30. Pre-orders are available at the label’s webstore and on Bandcamp, including standard and 24-bit hi-res versions.

Miller began his music career in central New Jersey, playing in bands influenced by 1970s and 1980s progressive acts. He formed Symphony X in 1994 with Michael Romeo, achieving international acclaim before stepping away from the band due to personal issues. After collaborating with vocalist Howard "Hollywood How" Portney in 2017, Miller launched Lazarus Effect as a new creative venture.
