Guitarist Tom Morello has released his first solo album, "Everyone Gets Everything They Want", on September 25 via Mom + Pop Music. The record features production by Tyler Smyth, Carl Restivo, Zakk Cervini, Dan Carey and Sam Nelson Harris. Serj Tankian, KNEECAP and BEARTOOTH make guest appearances, with Morello's fifteen-year-old son Roman sharing writing credits on five tracks and delivering monster riffs and fiery solos during performances.
The album follows a long history of activism, with Morello organizing political concerts and advocating for social justice, workers' rights and immigrant rights. He has served on the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame nominating committee and directed the 'Back To The Beginning' show, which featured Ozzy Osbourne and BLACK SABBATH's final performance.
In addition to his solo work, Morello continues to champion heavy metal icons such as JUDAS PRIEST and IRON MAIDEN through film projects and Hall of Fame nominations. He confirmed that JUDAS PRIEST has never been bigger than in 2026, with IRON MAIDEN headlining major global festivals.
Morello emphasized that authenticity in music is paramount, citing BLACK SABBATH's 'War Pigs' and IRON MAIDEN's 'Run To The Hills' as powerful political statements. He stated that artists have a responsibility to tell the truth in their work, regardless of audience reception or potential backlash. The release of his new album marks a significant step in his ongoing mission to promote honest, socially conscious music.
