In a new interview with Meltdown of Detroit's WRIF radio station, drummer Tommy Clufetos spoke about his time playing with Ozzy Osbourne.
Asked if he ever thought he'd be connected to Ozzy's camp growing up in Detroit, Clufetos replied: "Well, in a strange idea, yes, I did think, whether it was Ozzy or somebody else, I did envision whatever's happened in my life to happen." Clufetos continued by saying: "They say, 'Well, you can't play in every band.' And I go, 'Why not? Why can't you?'" He reflected on his career with Ozzy Osbourne and BLACK SABBATH, stating that he's always approached music with a passion and dedication.
Clufetos also discussed his appreciation for other bands like RUSH, but emphasized the importance of staying true to one's own musical style.
Clufetos' current band, TOMMY'S ROCKTRIP, will play at the Token Lounge in Westland, Michigan on April 23.
In May 2021, TOMMY'S ROCKTRIP released their debut album, "Beat Up By Rock 'N Roll", via Frontiers Music Srl.
The drummer has worked with notable rock icons such as Ted Nugent and Alice Cooper throughout his career."
